ClickUp 4.0 - Bring Back Task ID inclusion when mentioning tasks

With ClickUp 3, when a task was mentioned the task's ID or Custom ID were displayed along with the task name and the task type/status emblem. With the introduction of ClickUp 4.0, mentioned tasks now have the status spelled out along with assignee information, but the ID/Custom ID from the mentioned task is no longer displayed.
My organization has a OneDrive file structure where the Custom ID of tasks is numeric and directly corresponds to the first characters of a task's folder name, making it easy to search for and index our work. Having the Custom ID display for mentioned tasks helped us quickly reference and look up their files. With the Custom ID no longer displaying for mentioned tasks, the time and navigation required to get related task information has increased for us.
Would it be possible for us to get task ID/Custom ID back for mentioned tasks, or the ability to have workplace settings for what is displayed when a task is mentioned?

Hey everyone, I really appreciate you sharing this feedback, and I'm sorry the changes have added friction to your workflows. Task mentions are clearly load-bearing for a lot of you, and this is exactly the kind of thing we need to hear.
We've actually gotten feedback pulling in both directions on this one: some users want the Task ID back, while others have asked us to reduce the information density in mentions (including removing Status). Rather than picking a side, we're leaning toward building a preference setting so each user can choose what gets surfaced in inline mentions: only Task ID, only Status, both or none.
Does that direction sound like it would address what you need? Happy to come back with designs once we have them ready. 🙌

Task ID inclusion was a critical part of my workflow. There are many things I like about 4.0, but this is feature removal is costing my role time and energy.

In my situation, the tracking of assigned tasks relies upon the numerical task ID. Since the implementation of version 4.0, our links and tracking have lost effectiveness. May we please have custom ID back in order to prevent backtracking and chaos?

Lyn Guarnieri my team is in the same boat. We were so thrilled with the 4.0 update—and then horrified to learn the numerical task ID had disappeared from task mentions. Chaos.
