Checklist Reminders
Tucker Webb
Hello all. As a carpenter, I want to set reminders for certain checklist items I need to do in order to complete a task. Currently I cannot do this. This is a pain because if I have a lot on my checklist for a given task, than I have to sift through everything to find the one reminder I'd ideally like to set for the one checklist item.

If you need a reminder it is a subtask, not a check point.

OMG YES!
This would be an amazing feature, i literally have 2-3 other apps so i can plan daily tasks. If I could set reminders for the checklist items it would be a game changer!
There is not, in my opinion, a good solution for planing your day in ClickUps. I use AnyDo and TickTick to plan my days while ClickUps is god for managing numerous, large, complex projects. Like literally managing construction projects. AnyDo's calendar widget for android is one of the greatest organizing tools in existance. If there could be an integration to send check-items and subtasks directly on the anydo calendar would be insanse. Right now i have to write down checklists in clickups and then the important ones i need reminders for i have to write them down again, with more details in AnyDo. That sounds quite complicated and unlikely, so at least getting notifications/reminders of certain checkitems when i need them would be wonderfull. The ability to add them to the agenda or calendar would be even nicer.
As for the subtask solution, there are certain small items which don't deserve or dont even make sense as task or subtask of their own. Like receive that random forgotten document, obtain that signature, ask for a point of view regarding a certain issue from a subtask.
I see 2 big issues with the subtask solution to reminders:
- I use a task as an entire project planer, and subtasks are important sub-parts of that project. And there are small, transitory activities and reminders that don't have the importance and complexity to require a full subtask. So if i were to make a subtask for every little activity, that would create an unmanageable clutter in a lot of tasks.
- Even if using a subtask would be manageable and acceptable for certain smaller activities. Well, you cant create subtasks in subtasks. If I'm already in a subtask I can only use the checklists.

Some checklist items are more important than others, and because of this I'd need to set a reminder for certain things to make sure I complete the checklist efficiently and in a timely manner.

Tucker Webb: A workaround is to create subtasks instead of checklists. Subtasks can have individual due dates.

JC Yes, but you cant make a subtask in a subtasks. And making a subtask for every small item adds up quickly and becomes hard to follow/manage.
