Change AI Agent notifications in task activity
in progress
Jonathon Popphan
We have recently begun using AI Agents in our Workspace. When an Agent runs, it adds a comment to the task. We'd like a way to change that to being recorded in the Task Activity in a way similar to how automation changes are recorded instead of a comment.

Agree with this -- our team likes to use "Latest Comment" and see at an easy glance what the last note was. If an agent has actioned something, we lose sight of that and have to click in just to see if a comment was made by an actual team member.

Jonathon Popphan thanks for sharing. To confirm: you'd like agent activity to appear like user activity in the task, without the agent necessarily posting a comment on the task every time — correct?
We're making major improvements to our agents' architecture as we speak. This will unlock this very soon!

Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) I would like the option. Sometimes I want it to tell me, and that would be via a comment.
But it should always go under activity.
I wouldn't want to LOSE the commenting; just it become an option.

Guy Mannerings: yes, understood. That's totally how it'll work; you can prompt the agent to ask it to post a comment. If you don't, it'll just do the thing (e.g. update task status) without posting a comment.
