Bulk export all DOCS
Benjamin
We should have the ability to export all docs on a space / folder / list / basis in bulk instead of having to do them all individually.

Adding the capability to bulk share or reassign ownership of docs to the API and MCP server would be massively helpful for ClickUp admins. This platform is supposed to help increase efficiency and productivity. I have a single user with over 100 documents that I now have to move manually. That is unbelievably unacceptable for a platform such as this

Seriously who actually prioritizes features and improvements at Clickup, because whoever they are they clearly don't listen to customers.
Tim Jasper
Brendan W can we please get some attention (away from AI) onto Clickup docs export and printing docs with subpages to pdf please. Also page permissions Seriously frustrating waiting for docs to be usable

Agreed. I spent 5+ hours trying to do this with n8n and failed to develop a functioning workflow. ClickUp making their Docs into a closed garden/walled garden is a reason not to use ClickUp. Major red flag for increased technical debt when using ClickUp and I can see here they did not listen for going on seven years now also a red flag.

Ben Robertson 100%. - moving my docs elsewhere until this is fixed. Clickup docs are a complete disaster, from this to page permissions

For medium and large organizations, the current Docs export limitations introduce several critical constraints that reduce long-term adoption and increase operational risk.
Specifically, today there is no effective way to:
• Reduce the risk of relying exclusively on ClickUp as the only system for managing project or initiative documentation, without an easy and controlled export to enterprise document repositories (e.g. OneDrive / SharePoint).
• Leverage AI-generated content inside ClickUp while also being able to conveniently export that content as PDF or Word files directly into corporate OneDrive or SharePoint folders, which are often required for governance, compliance, audit, and long-term knowledge retention.
• Manage documents more flexibly within ClickUp Docs, for example:
1) exporting selected pages or sections instead of the entire document or a single page only;
2) creating structured, reusable document outputs tailored to different stakeholders.
In short, while ClickUp Docs are powerful as first-class collaborative objects, a “ClickUp-only” documentation strategy may become limiting over time for medium and large organizations if portability, controlled exports, and enterprise document workflows are not supported.
Improving export capabilities (including direct cloud destinations and partial document export) would significantly increase ClickUp’s suitability for structured, enterprise-scale environments.

800+ people want this and they have not implemented it even 6+ years after this was added as a feature request.. documentation can be very important so i dont understand why they have not implemented this.. they implement custom emojis and other features that are not nearly as important which seems strange
i have used clickup for quite some time but not having this is a deal breaker if im going to be using the docs to write documentation. i have started to use something else and honestly if they implemented it now im not sure i would care.
Ive seen this in other apps as well and I think this is intentional because they want to make it hard for you to leave clickup.. they kind of lock you in.. that doesnt look good
Tim Jasper
Christian Rustoeen Clickup is very busy at the moment developing AI slop that we don't really need..

Tim Jasper When checking now I am able to export the entire doc as PDF and markdown. Dont know if they just implemented it without updating this feature request.. but its seems to be working now. I tried exporting a knowledge base and I see the same option for meeting docs.
Tim Jasper
Christian Rustoeen yes you can export the whole pdf, which is fine for basic formatting and text etc, but if you try to export working papers (eg planning notes with links to tasks and other projects/doc links etc) all the links are obscured with 'private link...' - We should be able to print/export the whole document to PDF with embedded information eg see below how it looks vs how it should look. This can only be achieved by exporting one page at a time.

Tim Jasper Did a little research on this. The reason ClickUp does this is because it renders internal links as "private <link>" by design to maintain its workspace security protocol. Since it does this by design it might be difficiult for the team to implement a fix. I would not expect ClickUp to implement a feature that will allow users to break parts of their security protocol when they want to.
I do find it strange that you are able to export one page at a time without the links not being changed ? That does not make sense. When I try to export a page with a link I still get a "private <link>" and if you dont get that I would assume it to be a bug in the software because it would appear to break parts of the security protocolt they have implemented.
Tim Jasper
Christian Rustoeen actually I print one page at a time to pdf which retains the content. Even if the pdf is shared, only users with access to the underlying clickup task can open the task in clickup.

Tim Jasper That is the only workaround I know to get the PDF with links. If you have not done so already I guess your only other option is to contact support and check what they have to say instead of waiting for this case to be resolved.
Tim Jasper
Christian Rustoeen yes good advice - I've been waiting 6 years...
Tim Jasper
Christian Rustoeen . Also I wish Clickup would Introduce a consistent two-pane review Inbox layout. Your thoughts?

This platform is 8 years old now and we still can't backup docs in one go, and also can't export to docx format - is this at least being looked at by the developers?

Not having multi-select is perhaps an initial limitation of many other bulk actions. Having to drag-and-drop page by page is a really tedious and error-prone task.
Docs feature still needs a lot of improvements, something you take as "natural" - ctrl-select multiple items, drag and drop, perform actions to multiple docs (including export).
I see quite a few similar feature requests scattered over.
I'd suggest to merge these requests:
https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/bulk-export-of-multiple-pages-and-multiple-documents
Somewhat related (more general document management and document access improvements):
https://feedback.clickup.com/feature-requests/p/documents-pages-and-subpages-in-multiple-documents - this was marked as planned 2 years ago
ClickUp, please add Docs among your priorities - Docs feature needs to become more mature to be able to compete and really be in line with your "one app rules them all" vision.

Yeah, I definitely need to ability to be able to select and copy mutliple Docs from one workspace to another. Very painful as both my client list and Doc library are expanding!! This is meant to be a productivity time saving tool... too many repetitive clicks.

PS copy by list or folder or by selection would all be great

This is a must have prior to putting any docs on mass into Clickup. There needs to be an easy way to export all of the data as requirements change and copying or exporting them one by one is not really an option.
Until this is available I'll be giving docs a bit of a wide berth especially given how long this feature request has been open for.
