gannt is non-functional until a date change to one item translates to a date change to all associated items. That is the whole point of a gannt chart.

I have to export to PDF to provide to clients and there isn't an option to export to easily print-able letter-sized PDF pages. I don't love working with offline printouts but since I currently have to have this it would be great to have an option to export to PDF or Excel that was easily printable on a physical printer (so had a page layout or was automatically on 8.5x11 pages)

Exporting the current Gantt chart leaves much to be desired. It is not very easily customizable and difficult to read.

Wrike also has a great layout. As a Project Manager, this has been one of my biggest disappointments with ClickUp.

The gannt charts are great, but the main issue I have with them is the limited zoom options. A dynamic zoom facility would be much more useful.

Agreed, the ability to drag the overall (list) timeline on the gantt chart would be really helpful. Also look to ShortCut for roadmapping ideas. We came from there, and it was one thing they did very well.

All the ideas were great! We need a lot more work on the gannt charts. Executives and clients love seeing this chart and it's the least customizable chart.

Features I would love and need to

-Ability to see full project name

-More options for color coding (based on field values, manual, based on list or folders etc)

-See holidays or blocked days

-Better ways to link tasks (start before, start after etc)

-Easy way to rearrange group of tasks

-Ability to drop

-Snapshots so you can compare plans

-Export to Excel or PDF for sharing

-Progress color coding of main tasks

-Condensed views so you can see more in one sheet

-Dependency focus based on criteria like urgency, progress etc.

It would be a big improvement to automatically place tasks calculating the estimate worktime, the holidays (common and individual for each person), and to automatically manage the delays due to interruption on time tracking or time estimate update.

at least better zoom in/zoom out would be a huge improvment becuase its hard to get a proper view on larger projects

agreed. We export a pdf of the gantt chart to send to our clients to keep them updated on the project(s); however, you have to zoom in many times to see the data, the data is sparse or minimal at best and it is difficult to see todays date without scrolling upwards a lot, which is poor ux
