Better search without Clickup Brain
Christian Sobek
It currently looks as though the normal search in ClickUp is being artificially restricted to make the AI upgrade more attractive. The standard search only provides simple keyword hits — few results from files, docs or the wiki, although that is exactly what would be essential.
A functioning full text search is a basic requirement, especially with a wiki. Instead, you need “ClickUp Brain” or the AI feature just to find basic things.
The problem: AI offers an oversized range of functions that many do not even need — or already cover in other tools. Nobody wants to pay twice just to finally be able to search properly.
Offer individual brain functions such as a context search individually instead of offering the Super-Power Brain package, which simply not everyone needs.
