Badge Notifications for new Chat Messages on Desktop App

I was very excited to replace Slack when I learned that ClickUp finally does messaging right. However, the fact that new messages (to me or in channels I'm a member of) don't get a red number on the app icon (like Slack, Mail, etc) to notify me that there are unread messages makes it unusable still.
Can everyone please vote for this so we can get it on the dev dashboard!?

Option to enable notification badge on desktop icon.
The icon badge won't show for everyone. For some users it shows the amount of notifications you have.
I'm running Windows 10 and my co-worker does the same but she gets the badge icon but I don't. We have compared our settings inside ClickUp desktop notification settings and we've tried to compare our Windows 10 settings.
I've tested:
- Downloaded latest Clickup Desktop, not extension
- Windows notification settings > Clickup > Notifications on, and off.
- Windows notification settings > Clickup > With or without banners and action center
- Windows notification settings > Clickup > Top priority
- Reset Clickup Desktop where I have to log in and out and settings is reset
- Kept the message "Do you want to enable desktop notifications?" inside Clickup desktop, as apparently my coworker has not clicked on enable there and she gets the badge.

We already have a desktop app badge for your notifications from Inbox, Chat, Replies, etc. (see the photo below, ignore the different color app icon)
Do you guys have this setting on in Mac or Windows?

Brendan W Thanks for weighing in. I do have that setting enabled on Windows 11 and indeed I get badge notices relating to Tasks. But I don't get badge notifications for new Chat messages.
Which makes its usefulness a real challenge for me because the only other notifications I get are in temporary popups, so if I'm not in front of the computer at the moment a new Chat message comes through, I completely miss it.

Ryan Rickett: Hi Ryan. The badge count should include any notifications, a combined count of notifications from task comments, Chat comments, replies, etc.

Brendan W I just realized that I am actually not getting a badge update for any notifications. I thought I did, but I was mistaken. So I guess the badge notifications not working at all is the bigger issue. What are my options?
