Some of the posts are 1 or 2 years old - so has a backup function become available? In our business, as I'm certain it's the same in most businesses, it is imperative that all info be backed up often. Backup and restore feature is needed.

Yes, at least allow a desktop app to keep data without an internet connection, I mean, OPEN the app offline. This would serve as a temporary backup, and I believe it shouldn't be difficult to implement at this stage.
