Back Button
Tim Boric
When going from one view and clicking through to a different space/folder/list/view - I need to be able to revert back to the previous view without having to navigate or go back to favourite

I second this!

This is very needed! There is already an option to go back and forward in menu (History) and through keyboard shortcut, but it's cumbersome. It would be much more intuitive to have a button in top left corner.
Also would be great to have the option to change the shortcut. CTRL + [, ] is a bit obscure and uncomfortable to use.

Very frustrating to navigate Subtasks and Docs and Dependencies with no clear way to go back. You're suddenly forced back to the home screen, and required to find the path back to the context you were just in moments ago.
And if you need to go back again, you have to repeatedly find your way to the previous spot again. And again. Because there's no back button.
This missing feature would improve the day-to-day experience of ClickUp for quite a lot of people.

Yes, please. I was really hoping this would be added in 3.0.

if/when you open task A and go down several of its nested layers, opening one subtask, and then another inside that one and so forth, then - want the ability to get back to the previously opened task within one click. currently need to click the parent task name multiple times in the top or open the left hand side bar.
ALSO
if/when you click the 'X' icon in the top right - it closes the entire task window, ideally - have a second button to close the current task window and Go Back to the previously opened Task Window.

Something like this as seen in Slack. Takes me back to wherever I was in Slack previously whether that was a channel, thread, or space, etc.

Asana has this now, and I do find it helpful.

Not sure if this applies to normal web browsers, the browser's back button seems to work for me. Wouldn't expect the app/site UI to provide back button functionality in addition to the browser.

Yes, this would be super helpful, and would make ClickUp much less frustrating to use/navigate! We so often click out of a doc to go somewhere else, and then want to go back to that doc (for example) and we have to remember where it is because there's no back button! We use Windows and the Alt + Left Arrow option noted in an earlier comment unfortunately isn't working :(

Agreed, a back button and a breadcrumb trail would be nice along the top to see exactly where you are without having to go back to the nave. Breadcrumb that is linkable.
