It is currently not possible to create automations that perform actions when the value of a custom field is the same as that of another custom field within the same task.
This function would be extremely useful for handling cases such as:
Internal approval verification, when two teams enter the same value to confirm information.
Quality checks, for example comparing the 'expected date' field with 'effective date'.
Validation flows, such as when the 'Internal Status' field must match the 'Customer State' field to proceed.
Automatic matching, between synchronized values from external systems (e.g. CRM, spreadsheets).
I therefore suggest introducing a new type of logical condition for ClickUp automations:
“If the value of the X field is the same as the value of the Y field (in the same task)... then perform the action.”
It could also be extended to conditions 'other than', 'greater/less than' (for numeric fields or dates).
