It's really annoying that this isn't possible. We use ClickUp to monitor requests to existing webpages around our business. When someone adds a subtask, it means we need to make a change. I'd like the parent task to move to 'New' whenever a subtask is added.

The lack of proper connection between Parent tasks and Subtasks is quite surprising. As many people have said, proper automation for statuses and custom fields between subtasks and parent tasks would prevent so many human errors and significantly improve reporting and tracking for big projects. Having to manually check the each subtask and adjust the parent task every day is quite annoying.

This would make my reporting significantly easier within ClickUp. Such a critical function, requested now since 2021. Please prioritize!
