I’m looking for an automation solution that allows me to move a task from one list to another, for example, based on the list's name, and remove it from the backlog while keeping it in the second list.
Detailed description of my situation: I have a dedicated Backlog list in the space where I collect all tasks and manage them throughout the week. There are also several folders for different clients, with lists for their respective projects or sub-projects inside them.
I’m looking for a solution that links the backlog with each list in this space (e.g., by list name or custom field) and provides the functionality that, when the status changes in the backlog from to-do to in progress, it removes the task from the backlog and moves it to the corresponding list in another folder (e.g., by custom field or list name). I think some additional linking is needed, because in the automation I can only select one list, but I can’t select it dynamically.
Backlog: Task A (client1) -> in progress -> move to list Client 1 in folder B
Task B (client2) -> in progress -> move to list Client 2 in folder
A This kind of automation.
