Description:

Currently, when using Automations with the action “Add Comment”, it is possible to insert @assignees or @followers.

However, these are not processed as real mentions – no notification is sent to the user.

Expected behavior:

Any automatically added comment that contains an @mention (e.g. @assignees, @followers, or @username) should trigger the same notification as if the mention was typed manually.

Why this is important:

Ensures assignees are reliably notified of priority changes, deadlines, or important updates.

Eliminates the need for external tools like Make/Zapier just to generate a real mention.

Keeps notification workflows consistent and trustworthy for teams.
