1. The Current Limitation
While we greatly appreciate the recent update allowing the specification of time within Automations, which marks a significant improvement, a critical limitation remains concerning the setting of precise times.
Currently, when setting a Start or Due Date/Time, the primary option seems to be the "Trigger Date & Time.
This feature only sets the task time to the exact moment the Automation runs (is triggered). This prevents us from scheduling tasks to occur at a specific, fixed time of the day, which is essential for structured workflows.
  1. The Proposed Enhancement
We request the addition of an option to manually specify a fixed time (e.g., HH:MM) when using the "Set Start Date" and "Set Due Date" actions in Automations.
Desired Behavior: When configuring the date action, users should be able to select:
A. Trigger Date & Time (Current functionality)
B. Specific/Manual Time Input (New feature: allows inputting a fixed time like 09:00, 13:00, or 17:00).
  1. Critical Use Case (Why This is Needed)
This is vital for teams that schedule tasks around predefined, standard work blocks, and for accurate external calendar synchronization.
Goal : All tasks of a specific type must be scheduled for a fixed time window: 13:00 to 14:00.
