Auto-save New Task Draft
Nate
The platform would auto-save tasks as drafts when the new task pane is open, meaning reloading the page wouldn't remove your new task data. [created from support ticket]

Came here with the exact same situation as Jay. Lost a ton of work because I typed
cmd-[
with the intention of decreasing the indent of a bulleted list in a new task I was creating, forgetting that ClickUp doesn't have the same hotkey mappings as my text editors. This has happened multiple times to me. The lack of auto-saving of new tasks being drafted is incredibly frustrating. The effect is compounded by idiosyncratic hotkey mappings. At the very least prompt me with some sort of "Are you sure?" modal if I'm about to inadvertently lose a bunch of work.

just lost 90 minutes of intense work because accidentally typed
cmd-[
which apparently is a hotkey to close draft task window without any kind of prompt whatsoever. terrible featureDaneka Keith
Need to add auto save feature. If you have multiple users in the same task - any updates made disappear! Very frustrating!

Yes, this is a nightmare for every new user/member so far: you create a task with all details, info, tags, delivery dates, assignees, attachments etc. The one click away or even on one of the top tabs (doc, reminder, chat, whiteboard) which mimic an extension to the currently edited task, clears EVERYTHING that was just created. The frustration is massive.
This needs to be fixed as a priority. It's just unintuitive and frankly sucks.

This! Misclicking on 3.0 outside of the New Tasks makes me lose everything

Just had a colleague spend two hours drafting a task, only to lose all their work. Major bummer.

Yes please. Once I click another area of the page my task should save. I am used to having this functionality in similar applications like Asana.

I second this one! I keep losing all my typing and having to retype it.
