Auto-reconnect for external MCP server connections
completed
Sterling Sasser
When an external MCP server (connected via OAuth) loses its connection due to token expiry or a network blip, ClickUp should automatically attempt to re-establish the session in the background.
Currently, my Planning Center MCP connection drops at least once per day, sometimes multiple times, and the only recovery is manually reconnecting from the App Center. This adds unnecessary friction to workflows that depend on MCP tools (Brain queries, Super Agents, etc.).
Proposed behavior: detect a stale/expired MCP connection and silently refresh the OAuth token or reconnect, similar to how other OAuth integrations (Google Drive, Gmail) stay connected without manual intervention.

Hi Sterling Sasser! Please let us know if you keep running into this daily disconnection – we pushed an update on Friday that should improve custom MCP connection stability for certain affected servers.
