Audit log, edit history and restore for Automations

If an automation is inadvertently edited or deleted, there isn't a mechanism that allows us to:
See it in an audit log
Return the automation to its previous state before the editing
Recover the automation after being deleted

It is currently the case that deleted automations disappear from the system and it is not possible to go back to them, nor to check who changed when and what in them, or when they were launched. Ideally, automations should go to the trash after deletion and only removing them from the recycle bin would have the final effect.

Feature Request: Automation Audit History
K
Kim Venlet
Summary
Add automation enable/disable events to the Workspace Audit Logs so admins can see who toggled an automation active or inactive, and when.
Current Behavior
Automations show an "Updated by" field that only reflects the most recent edit. There's no distinction between toggling an automation on/off vs. editing its trigger, conditions, or actions. Once a new edit occurs, the previous change is lost. Automation events are absent from Workspace Audit Logs entirely.
Requested Behavior
Log automation activated/deactivated events in Workspace Audit Logs
Each event should capture: date/time, user, automation name, location, and the specific action (created, edited, activated, deactivated, deleted)
Filterable by user, date range, and event type
Accessible via the Audit Logs API for compliance exports
Use Case
Our PMO manages 50+automations across 250+ customer deployment trackers. When an automation is unexpectedly inactive and stores aren't being routed correctly, we need to quickly determine who changed it and when, rather than asking around. This is critical for troubleshooting, accountability, and change management in large workspaces.
Impact
Without this, we have no reliable way to audit automation changes, which creates a governance gap for teams relying heavily on automations for operational workflows.

Title: Add Trash/Restore for Automations + Deletion Audit Log
R
Robert Mayden
Description: Deleted automations are permanently lost with no way to recover them or even see who deleted them. This is a major gap, especially for teams where multiple people have edit access to a Space or List. Request: (1) Add automations to the Trash so they can be restored within 30 days like tasks and docs, and (2) log automation deletions in activity visible on all plans, not just Enterprise audit logs.

ClickUp's global audit log (available on higher-tier plans) should be able to capture automation creation and deletion events in the future (not done yet).

However, we don't currently have a way to recover automations after they've been deleted. That is not here yet.
