Archive/Hide Individual Options in Dropdown Custom Fields

Allow workspace admins to archive or hide individual options within a Dropdown (and Label) custom field without deleting them.
How it would work:
Archived options no longer appear in the dropdown picker when setting or changing a value on a task
Tasks that already have the archived option selected continue to display it normally
Archived options remain filterable, groupable, and reportable in views and dashboards
Admins can restore an archived option at any time to make it selectable again
Why this matters:
Teams frequently need to retire dropdown options (former clients, discontinued products, legacy categories, past employees) without losing historical data. Today the only options are to delete (which wipes the value from all existing tasks) or rename with a prefix like "[OLD]" (which clutters the field and still allows accidental selection). Neither is ideal.
This would give teams a clean way to evolve their workflows over time without sacrificing data integrity or polluting the selection list for active work.

We want this for our org please! I'm shocked that this is a relatively new/small suggestion, seems like a very fundamental need.
(Is this not a problem for other field types? Or a result of a recent change? I recall being able to keep historic values for fields in the past but could be Mandela Effect)
