Currently, the ClickUp API from Claude Clickup MCP does not support creating a new List using an existing List template. This limitation prevents teams from automating sprint creation and other recurring workflows.

Use Case:

• Our team creates weekly/bi-weekly sprints that follow a consistent structure with predefined custom statuses, custom fields, and task templates

• We want to automate this process via the API (or MCP connector), but we're forced to manually create each new sprint list from a template in the UI

• This breaks automation workflows and adds unnecessary manual overhead

Requested Feature:

• Add an API endpoint to create a List from an existing List Template

• Include the ability to apply custom statuses and custom fields defined in the template

• Optionally allow specifying which template to use by template ID or name

Impact:

This would enable full automation of sprint management, project setup, and recurring workflows — a major productivity gain for teams using ClickUp for agile/scrum processes.
