Allow Threaded Comments to be used per Location (space, folder, list)

I work with a large organization - some teams want to use threaded comments and other teams do not. When it gets turned off it deletes my old threaded comments. Can this be a feature enabled per Space instead of overall?

Requesting more control of threaded comments. I would like to turn threaded comments on for some chats and not for others. At the very least I would like to control the option per space and list.

It's very problematic for us to be able to enable this feature ONLY for the whole workspace. It should be possible to set up per space.

It should be possible to disable threads (comment replies) within comments on all tasks within this List? The threads (comment replies) get lost too easily and this would help us drastically improve our workflow within a certain List.
Tinkering with notifications has not proven to be a solution to this problem.
