Allow Required Notification Settings to be turned off
Sam Coster
The Status Changes clog up our 'All' notification feeds - we'd prefer to be able to not be notified when statuses change. Until then, we use the two other options "Assigned to me" and "Mentions". We genuinely don't care about things changing status, as many have automations that create downstream tasks and such.

Allow new comments to be turned off in Inbox
Alex Marshall
Our team has an overnotification issue in the Inbox feature. I do not want to see comments I am tagged in, but if I go to notification settings, I am unable to turn off "New Comments". This is clogging my inbox up from seeing only important items assigned to me or comments I am tagged in.

Please allow to deactivate "new comments" from the default importance.
I do not want to see all comments around my workspace that are NOT relevant for me. Thank you

Hey, everyone!
We're trying to explore some updates we could make to the Notification Settings experience in ClickUp - one of those items is allowing more settings to be turned off, as well as updating the settings page itself.
If you're open to providing your feedback, please book a short 15-min call with me:

Brendan W Looks like there is plenty to work with from the 5+ years of comments on threads about this. Notifications have been completely useless to me for the duration of our use of the product. I honestly don't even notice the "99+" on the notification icon anymore. Letting this amount of time lapse before "trying to explore some updates" is pretty frustrating.

Brendan W Please review and update this, too! It was originally planned for Q4/25 and we haven't heard anything since February this year...

Brendan W I get an email every time I import a document, i see that the import was successful on the import screen, this ends up just being spam to get an email. I'd like to turn that off.

Brendan W, I’m not quite sure if this falls under the Notification Settings to be turned off, but I was exploring ClickUp and wondering if there is a way to filter the notifications that come through the Inbox.
Similar to creating a “rule” in Outlook/Gmail that automatically sorts certain emails into a specific folder, I’d like to be able to separate High Importance notifications from the regular notifications.
I receive a lot of notifications in ClickUp, especially during busy season, and the high-importance items can sometimes get lost among the regular notifications. To avoid missing anything important, it would be very helpful to have a separate folder, inbox, or filter for quick review and better visibility.
I do get tagged and notified on many items in ClickUp, so having a personalized High Importance inbox in addition to my Primary inbox would be very useful for my role.
Please let me know if this is a feature that already exists and I just haven’t been able to find it, or if it is something that could potentially be considered in the future.
Thank you!

I also find these unwanted advertisements very annoying. These cost me valuable time and should therefore be able to be switched off

We started using ClickUp recently, and primarily use it for property development project management in a physical work environment. The automatic creation of video call links for events involving two or more people is causing great confusion among our team, as most of our meetings are held in person. While this feature may be useful for virtual teams, it would be highly beneficial to have the option to disable it for workspaces that do not require video calls. This flexibility would help streamline our workflow and reduce unnecessary distractions. Or even being able to switch it off for each meeting created would help already. Now this is mandatory and there is always a link, which in my opinion is very strange. What if we were invited to a meeting by third party and they have their own link? We create our meeting for the participants of our team and then there is this other link. Very misleading - which link to use then.
Thank you for considering this improvement! But this is very simple yet important.

THIS. My inbox is so cluttered all the time from updates that I do not need or care about and it drives me (and my team) crazy.

Make the option to deactivate a notification about the sceduled reports please. Reports were off, but notification still disturbs on a regular basis.

We need the ability to customise which status changes we are notified for. I'm only interested in specific task statuses that require me to interact with that task. Please add support for this level of customisation.
The current format of getting notified for every status change on every task you're involved in is unusable.

Our team is experiencing significant notification fatigue, which is hindering ClickUp adoption. Currently, the system automatically adds anyone mentioned in a comment as a follower to that thread. We need the ability to disable this auto-follow feature so users can manually manage their involvement and reduce noise. Especially when a team is mentioned, but the task doesn't involve them beyond the initial FYI.
