Allow for separate filters to be applied to a table in an embedded/linked view, different from the filters applied in the original table location

Currently when you embed a task table view and change the table filters the filter will be applied, but as soon as the table is refreshed the filters will revert back to the filters that are applied to the original location. Even if you hit save. I don't really want a bunch of places messing with the original view. however It would be helpful to have the ability to create different filtered views.
My workflow involves a specific list that all team members are using to log work observations. I want this in one unified list so I can track who is entering logs. However, I am wanting a way for my account managers to quickly view the logs on a specific account. My proposed solution was to embed the table in a list description and filter for only the relevant logs. This is not an option with the current functions.
