Currently, the Threaded Comments ClickApp cannot be deactivated when Chat is enabled. This forces all task comments into nested threads with no option to use a flat comment stream. Please decouple these two features so workspaces using Chat can still choose whether task comments are threaded or flat. Many teams prefer a linear comment history on tasks for readability, while still wanting Chat for real-time communication.
