Allow Brain to create and configure native ClickUp Dashboards via natural language
Meredith Porcello
Brain can currently generate dashboard artifacts (HTML exports), but it cannot create or modify native ClickUp Dashboards: adding cards, setting filters, choosing data sources, or adjusting layout.
Use case: Teams that manage multiple clients or departments need repeated dashboard setups with similar card structures but different filters. Being able to say "Build me a dashboard with a time tracking summary by person, a task list filtered to this Space, and a workload card for the next 2 weeks" and get a real, live Dashboard (not an artifact) would eliminate hours of manual configuration.
Proposed capabilities:
-Create a new Dashboard from a prompt
-Add, remove, and configure widget cards (filters, grouping, data source)
-Duplicate and modify existing Dashboards with prompt-based adjustments
-Apply Dashboard Templates via Brain
This would close the gap between Brain's workspace knowledge and the manual point-and-click dashboard builder.

I run my entire business through ClickUp with multiple AI environments (Grok, Claude, Codex) operating as department heads via Agent Context tasks.
Dashboards are where I consolidate operational visibility: finance, support, class management, workload.
Right now Brain can't read native dashboards at all, which means my AI team is blind to the very summaries I've built to run the business. Two things would transform this:
1) Brain reading and configuring native dashboards via natural language, exactly as described in this request. Being able to say "add a time tracking card filtered to this space" instead of clicking through the builder would be huge.
2) Dashboard read access via the API, so external agents (Super Agents, MCP-connected tools, third-party AI) can query dashboard card data programmatically. If a dashboard card already computes a metric, other agents should be able to read that result without having to reconstruct the query from raw task data.
Dashboards are the reporting layer. If Brain and external agents can't see them, they're building reports from scratch every time instead of reading the ones that already exist. That's the gap.

Most of our users are very hesitant and shy to make dashboards; they take a fair bit of time to configure, especially if you're not familiar with them. If we could lean on Brain to help them create and edit existing dashboards that would really help them (and myself as the system admin who's handling creating all of their dashboard requests right now).

Thanks for detailing this workflow. Creating and configuring native Dashboards through natural language would connect Brain’s workspace knowledge to live reporting. I’ve added this to our team’s backlog. Good news: this means it’s on the roadmap, but I don’t have an ETA yet.
