Add option in automation if a user is part of a team
J
Joseph Plaizier
It would be great if there was a way to have a trigger in automations that would check if a person in a people custom field is a part of a specific team. This would be so helpful in running automations based on a company hierarchy. For instance, we have a list that tracks passport expiration dates for employees that do a lot of travel. They all have different managers who need to be notified as well. If there was an automation that would look at the user and see if they are on one of the manager's teams (team created in ClickUp) then we would know which manager it needs to be assigned to. Instead we have to create a unique automation for each employee.

Automation action "Change Assignee to" needs to have TEAMS added to the configuration selector
Chris Osdick
When manually assigning tasks, available teams are at the bottom of the pop-up list. The Automation action should have the teams available too.

Trigger/Assign automations From Team Member Position Title

The ability to have automations based on a team member's Title, position etc rather than their Clickup Account. This would prevent dozens of automations from having to be manually rebuilt if someone is replaced, resigns, or is promoted

Automations consider tasks unassigned if assignee is a team
Casey Gould
Similar to https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/ability-to-use-teams-user-groups-in-automations, automation does not play well with teams. I have an automation that says "IF status changes AND task is unassigned" which is triggering when the task is assigned to a team.

Automation assignee for invited teams
Evan Doherty
We use ClickUp as multiple companies under one parent company. To make it easier to keep spaces private from our sister companies, we add members to ClickUp Teams for each company. When sharing Spaces with these Teams, we cannot create automations that address an individual assignee. Only direct invited members and teams are selectable at Space level. At Folder level, any of the members contained within the invited Team can then be selected for automations. I am requesting the ability to create an automation (at Space level) using an assignee who is part of an invited Team (at Space level).

Teams automation assignable
Scott Toeneboehn
When adding automations involving assignee changes, we should be able to select teams as well as individuals.

We would like to be able to run automation based on whether the assignee is a team rather than a person.

Automation trigger: Assigned to any member of a team
P
Philipp Knoepfle Administrator
We need to be able to trigger an automation when any member of a team is assigned to a task. Currently the only way to do this, is by adding every member of the team separately to the automation. That however requires administrative effort every time a new employee is hired. It should be quite easy to implement this, since all that has to happen is a quick check which users are part of the team and if the assignee is part of that list of users.
