This is the leftover need I have from the Dynamic Assignees in Automations feature that was just closed. I want to be able to send an email TO the person in a People Custom Field. Please look at this!

Adding the ability to include an Assignee in the To and CC fields in emails will enable automation that allows the Assignee to receive correspondence and responses from outside the organization. Otherwise, it will require adding the Assignee's email manually.

I don't understand how this has not been more requested. In order to create a ClickUp account, you need an EMAIL. Why would you not be able to pull the email from the assignee? Super important to have since ClickUp notifications aren't always the best and sending an email almost guarantees that the user will see it.

I am attempting to setup this automation so we can distribute "reports" to certain team members but it won't always be the same people. So using a custom field email doesn't work and setting up the automation inside of ClickUp doesn't work because you have to hard set the value and can't use a variable. AND I can't use a 3rd party API because the place this automation would be in will change with every new project.

As of now, the team won't be able to send this out like how you would send or share a report in apps. For now we will have to make the best out of ClickUp notifications, or maybe sending an email when users get assigned to task.

**EDIT: I am aware that ClickUp does use email notifications, what I meant to explain was that I am unable to setup an automation that generates a report-like email from the task details to certain users due to this limitation. The only thing that is preventing me from accomplishing this is having that 'To' field be a variable to distribute to as little or as many users as desired.

This is highly needed to maximize the use of people custom fields and sending more targeted emails to assignees. Please consider!

This is also relevant for my company. We manually notify every colleague about their overdue tasks everyday (a team of nearly 80 clickup users) because this is linked to sanctions for missed work items. If we could only automate sending an email for to the assignee for each overdue task with direct link to that very task, that'd save us almost 3 hrs each week

I've been pushing for email integration for our teams, but I was also assuming this would be possible. I'm shocked that it's not. Any activity here? Or is there a workaround I'm missing?
