Currently, ClickUp AI Brain requires purchasing licenses for all users, even when only a small number of team members actively use AI features. For organizations with larger teams, this significantly increases costs and can make adoption difficult.

We would like the ability to assign AI Brain licenses only to specific users who need and actively use the feature, similar to how many SaaS platforms handle add-on products.

Easier adoption for growing teams.

Reduced costs for organizations where only managers, team leads, or specific departments use AI.

Increased likelihood of AI Brain adoption across more workspaces.

For example, in our organization, only 2–3 users regularly use AI features, while the remaining users do not need AI access. Paying for every user is not cost-effective and creates an unnecessary barrier to adoption.

We would greatly appreciate the option to purchase and assign AI Brain licenses on a per-user basis instead of requiring the add-on for the entire workspace.
