The Problem

ClickUp AI Agents can currently create time entries, but they cannot read existing timesheet or time-entry data. This blocks essential automated reporting workflows—such as weekly utilization audits, billable summaries, and team timesheet rollups—because the AI lacks access to the actual time-tracking source of truth.

Requested Capability

Add a dedicated retrieval tool that allows AI Agents to query and filter existing time-tracking data.

Required Filters: Date range, User/Team, Space/Folder/List/Task, Billable vs. Non-Billable, and Tags.

Required Outputs: Total hours logged, billable vs. non-billable breakdowns, and per-user/per-task summaries.

Example Use Case

An automated Monday morning AI agent that pulls the previous week's team timesheets, calculates individual billable utilization percentages, and flags any users who fell below the 40-hour threshold.

Why It Matters

Without read access to timesheets, agents either fail the workflow entirely or use inaccurate task-activity data as a proxy. For teams relying on ClickUp for operations and billing, AI agents must be able to query precise time data to generate reliable, automated reports instead of approximations.
