From Support: It would be nice if we admins could remove logs from task history. This would allow them to remove all traces of erroneous uploads.

Duplicating Activity (or not) should be a selectable choice when duplicating list or space. Testing now on desktop, if I duplicate one single task there is an option to deselect Activity. But when I go to duplicate List or Space, the activity choice isn't there. We duplicate the same project over and over again (podcast) and the activity history is ridiculously long and useless for every single task. We have almost 400 tasks in each space, so going through and duplicating each task singly is not possible.

Or delete secure information that was erroneously entered into a task and deleted such as a password.

Zach Similar to my comment on the other item moments ago: This would be a very important feature to have. Asana offered it, and it was great, as it allowed us to choose which specific updates within the "Activity" timeline were broadcast to those with access to the task. (This is especially sensitive when it comes to Guests. Imagine duplicating an item from Client A's list and not realizing you accidentally exposed private info when you moved that duplicate to Client B's list! (I realize you can omit activity for Duplicates, but that solution is messy and not ideal for actual day-to-day ops.) I understand the desire for an Activity Log for purposes of auditing any changes, so removing specific pieces should only be allowed for Admins, perhaps, but it should be allowed. For example, I do not want my clients to be able to see in the activity log the exact timestamp of every value change of a custom field. Or, if I duplicate a task without remembering to remove Activity via the Duplicate modal at the time of duplicating, I can simply remove any items that might be irrelevant or sensitive rather than having to fully recreate the task (or duplicate it again, which completely throws off the "Task Created" date. PLEASE IMPLEMENT.

Please add this feature! It is very frustrating to see history from a copied list that does not apply to the tasks in the new list.

Diane Beddia: Hi Diane - I don't work at ClickUp but here to offer help if I can: If you're duplicating tasks do consider unchecking the "Activity" box on the screen that pops up when you duplicate those tasks to a new list. This removes the Activity for the duplicate task, but is not the most elegant solution or the best solution long-term IMO. But if it helps I wanted to share! -Alex

Use the "Duplicate" feature but de-select "Activity" and "Comments" (if applicable) to remove all historical activity from the original task in the Duplicated task. The original task name may still be included in the duplicate, so you may need to rename that duplicate and then duplicate that once more if the original task name is a concern.

It would be great if we can able to delete/remove the history, we would like to have this feature.

Copying tasks over from different projects with the same comments is such a weird feature to have. Would much prefer if we can get the tasks without history of any previous activities

yes, please add this feature to help us remove comment history/log. It comes a mess when too many people change and add comment. Really don't want to use filter every time
