We migrated to ClickUp from another software platform that had this feature and it was incredibly useful. It was one of the features we asked the sales team about, who scoffed at us and said 'We've never heard of any software doing that. Why would you ever need that?'
As one of the system admins of ClickUp, I get requests all the time about access, something is missing, that's not what I see... etc. The work around is a scheduled meeting with the user and asking them to click on things over a video call. In our other software we could simply log in as the other user and see everything that they saw. It saved a lot of time for everyone, it helped ensure they had proper access... it was one of the features that we used the most in our other software.
It would be really wonderful if we could get this feature into ClickUp. I know that the ClickUp support team has this ability, but it would be nice if I could do it as an admin in my workspace.

Giving the benefit of the doubt maybe they meant in the project management space.
but if at face value 🤯. I can think of many of the top of my head - Salesforce (which they use), Workday, ServiceNow, Zendesk (which they use for support), Jira, HubSpot, and so many more

Ryan MacAlmon (HPE), I'm not sure what software they were thinking of when they said it, but to be fair, I was paraphrasing their statement, and I don't believe that they were trying to be rude, mean, or impolite. It seemed to genuinely surprise them.
The fact that they hadn't heard of another software with that capability doesn't surprise me though. I know about other software that has the feature because that's my line of work as an administrator, but they have a different line of work that probably doesn't need to know or care about features like that. Even if they use the software on a regular basis, they probably don't have access to that toolset and therefore probably didn't know it was a feature. Or, to your point, maybe they meant in the project management software space. 🤷
Regardless, I think the important part is, it is a helpful feature for administrators and it would be
awesome
if ClickUp would consider implementing it. 😁

Hello,
As a ClickUp administrator, I would like the ability to log in as another user to pre-configure their workspace (such as views and layout). This would help make it easier for employees to get started when they first log in.
It would also allow me to provide more efficient support when they have questions.
