Alarms/notifications X days before start date of a task

I am putting together a plan for different maintenance tasks for 2026 and I would like to have a function where I can set the recurring tasks to send a notification for example 10 days in advance.

Good news on a related front — we actually shipped "X days before due date" notifications a while back, so that piece exists. The start date equivalent (get a heads-up N days before work begins) is a separate gap we haven't filled yet.
Your maintenance planning use case makes this concrete: recurring tasks where you want lead time to prepare before the start date kicks in. That's a real workflow. Tracking this — no timeline to share right now but the ask is understood.
