AI Should Read Subtask Due Date & More from the Parent Task Level
Matt Langlois
When looking at a parent task (we use tasks as projects), ClickUp AI (BRAIN) should be able to give me details of all the underlying subtasks as well.
For example, if I ask AI to create a schedule based on the due dates of all the subtasks in this project, it should be able to read all the due dates of the subtasks for this particular project and provide me with a schedule. Currently, AI is limited and is unable to see the due date of the subtasks reliably while viewing the parent task. You have to go into each individual subtask to have AI see the date - very inconvenient.
Additionally, I should be able to ask for a standup for this project and get updates from each of the subtasks as well as the main project as whole, with AI understanding where each comment and status change came from (subtask or parent task) to give me a full detailed understanding of the state of this project.
With the current limitation of only being able to provide information on the task you currently have open, it leaves a lot of room for ClickUp standups to be inaccurate and missing key details.
