AI Notetaker: View In Transcript
T
Tim Deters
It would be very useful to have a "View In Transcript" option when reviewing AI Notetaker Key Takeaways, Next Steps, Key Topics, etc., much like in Otter.ai. If I want to find specifically where a certain topic item or task was mentioned or discussed, it would be great to have an option to find that in the transcript with one click.

AI has successfully located the transcript text when I provide the exact text from the notes.

Stephanie Vinton: can you elaborate? Not sure what the question is here..

Alex Lashkov not a question, a workaround
Alex Lashkov
Stephanie Vinton still curious how exactly this works. Can you maybe describe step by step? That would be useful for other folks reading this thread and I could think of how we could leverage this product-wise!

Alex Lashkov I will copy and paste the text that is in question from the AI notes. The request to AI is to find in the Transcript the source of the notes.
Alex Lashkov
Stephanie Vinton: gotcha, thanks!
Alex Lashkov
Tim Deters can you elaborate a bit more? What is the exact use case for that? Right now you can open a meeting doc, expand the transcript and do a Ctrl+F to search for smth + we post AI-summary in there.
How this could be improved to better reflect your needs?

Alex Lashkov Since AI Notetaker compiles, processes, and summarizes data from multiple instances in a conversation, it's not always as simple as CRTL+F.
If the subject or topic is brought up multiple times in different contexts throughout the document, it would be difficult to just CTRL+ for that keyword.
And sometimes it may summarize something in different wording than was used in the conversation, making it difficult to simply search.
Ultimately, it would be ideal to locate where AI Notetaker is pulling its data from for these summaries/takeways/next steps. It's likely pulling from a certain section or multiple sections, so being able to simply click an option (like in other softwares) to quickly and easily skip to that portion of the conversation would make things much simpler, easier, and user-friendly.

Tim Deters would an option to chat with your notes via AI solve that? Like "show we what Tim said about that during our call on Thursday" etc ?
T

Alex Lashkov That might be an option, but it still seems a bit clumsy as opposed to being taken right to the spot in the transcript. I assume the AI knows where exactly it pulled that info from to create a summary, so a quick click (like below) should get you there?
