AI notetaker captures meeting chat, especially links shared
Erik Hehrmann
It'd be great if Notetaker could include the in-meeting chat in its transcript, and specifically pull out links shared in the in-meeting chat.

Yeah that makes sense, we will see what we can do here! Thanks

Erik Hehrmann like the whole chat would be important or most of the value is in the links? Like, if there were lots of jokes, memes and stuff during a large meeting, would you want all of that in the transcript document or just links?
Erik Hehrmann
Alex Lashkov Yes, I'd want to capture the entire chat in a separate section of the transcript, and intelligently pull out shared links to yet another section of the generated notetaker doc.
Alex Lashkov
Erik Hehrmann and if instead you were just able to use AI to chat with your notes and ask who said what, that would solve the use-case partially?
Erik Hehrmann
Alex Lashkov I'm not following. Can or can't notetaker access in-meeting chat from Google Meet or Zoom? If yes, can it just copy & paste it into the clickup doc where it already generates the audio transcript?
Alex Lashkov
Erik Hehrmann: putting chat in a separate page on a doc is one thing and linking it to actual timestamps in the transcript is a completely different task, way more complex. So I am trying to understand at what minimum that would be considered as a solved use-case for you.
If you just have a section in a doc where all chat content lives, will that be okay?
Erik Hehrmann
Alex Lashkov Yes, a new section at the bottom of the doc would be great.
Current sections in a meeting notes doc from AI notetaker:
- Attendees
- Video embed
- Overview
- Key Takeaways
- Next Steps
- Key Topics
- Transcript
Just add another section at the bottom. Bonus points if links shared in the meeting chat can be pulled out of that new section and put closer to the top of the doc somewhere.
