Advanced calculations / aggregate calculations on aggregates in Calculation Card
Matt Keller
On our Dashboard, we don't just want a simple sum or average of specific groups of task. We need some more complexity. We should be able to add to the formula. ie. multiplying a sum of sales tasks by 40% to give us expected close rate or multiply time by average hourly rate.
There are a tons of different applications and uses and when I went to business subscription I thought the calc widget would be a lot stronger.

Hey ClickUp team!
Do we have any news regarding this request?
It is really important for us given that this kind of tool could be used by the executive board, and so on. This is a big impact and we need to find another solutions for this.
Thank you very much!

Hi Lily Chan,
You have merged 7 other requests into this one. This original request is about 6 years old. Could you please provide an update on this?

Andrea Kosztolanyi: Thanks for the follow-up. Tagging in Ivan Villa and Hemant Kumar for your question.

Andrea Kosztolanyi: Hi Andrea, thanks for checking in. We don't have this slated for the near term. That said, concrete examples help a lot when it comes up for review, so if you want to share what you're trying to calculate, I'll make sure it's logged against the request.

Ivan Villa Hi Iva, I would like to do the calculations for billable amount. For this I'd need to have the option to multiply the hrs (based on ticket for who will pay and person for the correct rate) by each persons' rate. Since Clickup does have a billable option on the logs, I'm really confused why there is no option to tell what the billable amount is. This is one of the most needed information for all projects so this should have been a priority for most companies, at least in my opinion. Plesae let me know if you need more context.

I just spent two days setting up custom fields and workflow logic to roll it up in Calculation cards in a dashboard and visualize our team capacity instead of using an ugly manual worksheet.
Come to find out... the Calculation card can't use any numeric output from the formula fields I just created? And the numeric output of those formula fields can't be synced to a custom field either?
Basically there is no utility to the entire custom formula other than staring at it or MANUALLY copying it to a worksheet to actually use it like a number? And the feature request thread for this goes back FIVE YEARS??
Love Clickup but as is, custom formula fields could literally not be more useless than they are.

simple things overlooked - is this being looked at ?

This is going to be a game changer for a company that operates soley on ClickUp like ours.

For example:
Calculate total average hourly rate of a project / folder - fee divided by time estimated and/or tracked
Calculate profitability for different services or deliverables (custom fields)

I agree. I also want to be able to make calculations with the calculations cards I already made in my dashboard.

Calculate % tasks delivered v. % project days consumed = whether project is roughly on track or not. See the attachment for a better representation.

We need dashboards that perform calculations (average, sum, median, subtraction) and customize charts, later incorporating other types of visualizations. This will enhance our ability to use ClickUp as a strategic tool.
I could present and sell ClickUp much more effectively if I had publicly shareable dashboards within client folders that allow for data analysis. For instance, we could create ClickUp forms with metrics and ratings that clients could provide, but we can't analyze these evaluation ratings without exporting them to a spreadsheet and then creating a dashboard, all outside of ClickUp. Business Intelligence is an area right at the doorstep of ClickUp, as you already have a way to collect data (ClickUp Forms); this data can be easily tabulated (ClickUp Tables). The only missing piece is a customizable dashboard for us to perform calculations, including averages, medians, sums, subtractions, and all the basic chart analyses. With this foundation, we could progress to other types of visualizations. Currently, I rely on Google Looker Studio, but my clients are very fond of ClickUp Forms. However, I lack the ability to showcase the results of using this platform.
ClickUp is meant to be our saving grace, the platform that makes it possible for us to stay within it without needing to access other tools.
