The main challenge with clickup is it assumes that the only reason a task should be hidden, is when it is "Complete". What if its not complete, what if its cancelled? You can create a "Cancelled" status in the "Done" section, however that task still stays within view, done doesn't remove it as it does with a Closed status.

Currently creating a new custom "Closed" status isnt possible, however if it was, you could easily remove subtasks from a list view without the workaround that is always proposed (switching from expanded or collapsed view over to "Separate" which removes heirarchy of tasks and provides a straight line list of tasks).

Closed tasks have a toggle for tasks/subtasks to switch on or off and easily view or not view what you want to see. The same is not true for the "Done" status's, and filters dont respect subtasks so can't remove them using other custom fields either.

The Ask:

-Allow for creating other "Closed" status's to solve one of the biggest problems with clickup, not seeing redundant tasks while still keeping them easily accessible (No separate view switching, no archiving and unarchiving)
