I love to use Docs, but mostly as Task attachments. It would be great to have this option for the whiteboards, not only as a view but as an attachment.

Hi all, first response from me on this. Creating a whiteboard directly from a task is on our roadmap. You'll be able to add one from the task description through the slash menu, the same way Docs work today. It's in engineering backlog without a firm date, but the work is planned. Separately, we're improving how linked whiteboards surface in the task's Linked Objects panel. I'll come back here with a date when we have one.

Currently there is no way to make a Clickup Whiteboard Related to a specific task. Yes you can share the URL inside of it. But I found it strange you can not relate it to a specific task.

For instance you have a task and are whiteboarding. I should be able to have a private whiteboard to the task. Only those that have access to Whiteboard would see it thoguh since its access based. Just like how you can relate a personal list item to a task in a public space.

Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) Yes, that's it. And the other way around. That a Whiteboard's location can be added, as a task, list, folder or space

Alex Omeyer (ClickUp) i think treating them like most other items in CU is ideal, how you can /@ reference, add as attachments, and they show up in task sidebar as a dedicated ref item (like docs, other tasks and even external items like drive and figma files do is ideal.

Still waiting for this one. I'll be continuing to use my 3rd party whiteboard tools until this is available.

I completely agree with you! Adding the ability to attach Whiteboards directly to tasks would be a fantastic feature. While Whiteboards are a great collaborative tool within ClickUp, currently they can only be viewed in the Whiteboard view, not as attachments to tasks.

+1 on the adding a slash command idea - generating a new whiteboard from a comment or description and linking it would significantly increase usefulness for me.

Ability to just integrate a Whiteboard as a Task or add it as a "Custom Block" to individual tasks. This would be huge!
