One potential workaround is to use an external automation platform (such as Make or Zapier) to convert a tag into text in a custom field.
- The external automation is triggered when a tag is added
- The external automation adds the tag as text to the custom field
- Use the 'custom field being set to a certain value' as the trigger within a ClickUp automation
