Add option to hide a task comment from List View "Latest Comment"

Just asking for a "/h" to hide or exclude the most recent comment from the "Latest Comment" column in List view.
Basically, I want to use the "Latest Comment" column in List view to give me a useful snapshot of where each task stands. Maybe something like "This is WAY OVERDUE, Mr. Boss said everyone stop and finish this now!!!". If someone replies "OK" (or "can't, I'm on vacation"), that screws up what I'm trying to do. A simple "/h OK" or "/h can't..." would work great!

Hey, Josh!
What a great idea! The Latest Comment Custom Field is to get a holistic view of the task, but I have a great suggestion for you!
I'd recommend using a text custom field to add the update, or add your vote to the pinned comments feature request, where we'd be able to show this on List view!

Brendan W: Way to squash a so-called great idea by nixing it in less than 2 hours instead of leaving it open for votes. It's not even a huge ask because there is obviously already logic infrastructure in place - "likes" and comment replies are already filtered from the Latest Comment field. By the way, Latest Comment isn't a custom field.
Neither of your recommendations is useful. Implementing a text custom field means it has to be updated separately from the comments, making double work that risks being out of sync. Pinning doesn't work either - as I clearly explained above, I want to be able to see the most recent comment that isn't marked trival (hidden). Keep in mind that I'm not doing this as a personal management solution, but for a dynamic workgroup of varying skill levels.
The next best solution is to enforce the use of "reply" for trivial comments across my workgroup since replies don't show up as Latest Comments. That would have been a better suggestion.
Overall, the concept of using the Latest Comment is looking great for my needs of quickly scanning long task lists without having to dig through. See screenshot below.

Josh M: Hey, Josh! My mistake, I misread your post and my proposed solution was to solve a slightly different problem! I'll reopen the closed post right now!
Latest comment is not a custom field, but it is a default field we allow you to add to your views!
Is there a blocker regarding using the reply function to avoid having new comments populate the Latest Comment field? I'll bring this up to the team to see how we and other users want the latest comment field to operate.

Brendan W: Thanks following up Brendan, pretty impressive to see ClickUp listening to its users. Agreed that using reply for trivial comments will probably work out for us for now. I'm
very
happy with ClickUp overall, just trying to find easy but consistent ways to quickly scan the many task lists I'm creating without having to either dig into each task or rely on a one-word status. Maybe the next time you add some / features, a "/h" would be sweet, but I know you've a million other request. Thanks!Brendan W
Josh M: We always listen to our users! We've trying to clean up our feedback boards and when I misread your request I thought we had the solution for it already hence closing the post.
Transparently, I'm not sure what our solution might be here but I will talk to the team!
