The missing authoring capability is one thing. The bigger problem is that replaces a description wholesale, so any update through the API/MCP silently flattens the task mentions already in that description into plain hyperlinks — including ones the edit never touched. It's undetectable programmatically, because the markdown you read back is identical before and after. You only notice when you open the task and the rich links are gone.
