Formula Custom Fields don’t appear in the "Use field from library" feature where you can re-use existing Custom Fields in another Space/Folder/List.

This was possible in the past, now it is no longer possible.
Please let me add the same formula custom field to multiple locations.
We calculate RICE Score via a custom formula field in multiple list and the formula is always the same, with the same name and should then be grouped in an aggregating list under the same field. This is only possible when using the exact same Field. Super annoying.

Thanks for the feedback on this one! I'd love to know more about the use cases, as well as current pain points. Is it that you want the exact same Formula? Or slightly different, but it would be easier to duplicate and update the second one? Something else?

Caroline Ginty: With the bug that I noted in my former comment, the issue is that formula fields are treated differently than other fields and when used in templates, they are treated as the same field that is already present in the workspace instead of creating a new field for that list. The bug was confirmed with the development team and has this Report ID: CLK-191155.

Paige Terry: Thanks for raising! I'll make sure our team still has this on the radar.

Caroline Ginty being able to use the exact same formula across multiple lists would be a great time saver. I use a 'Days Since' formula field that is DAYS(TODAY(,),field"Published")) to easily track how long it's been since a piece of content has been published. This field exists in 8-15 lists across multiple folders and having to recreate it every time I set up a new folder is quite time consuming.

I have also noticed this problematic and inconsistent bug:
When I make a template of my list and then create a new instance of a list with that template, it does not create a unique custom formula field for that list and does instead re-use the same custom formula field. But then I’m not able to remove it from that list without removing it across my entire workspace! Because the formula calculations were the same across my workspace, I was forced to delete that custom field and then re-add it across my workspace again!
The inability to specify which list I do not want to have my custom formula fields in (an ability that exists with other custom field types) causes this issue and inconsistency.
