Hi,
It would be INCREDIBLY life-saving if we had the ability to cluster tasks on individual days in Calendar view and within Kanban Board view.
  • Drag and drop tasks/subtasks into a colored box within Calendar or Kanban View. Customize title of this box to reflect whatever your needs are (see attached doc for our examples).
  • Adding tasks to "Clusters" does not convert task into a subtask. A Cluster is simply a way to organize large amounts of tasks that can accumulate on calendar days and boards, a reality that can be frustrating, confusing, and can greatly decrease productivity.
  • For tasks that range across multiple days, we're not entirely sure what the solution would be. Perhaps it is the option to extend the "Cluster" to multiple days, or the item is simply unable to be added to a "Cluster."
  • Hover over the "+" sign in the bottom of a day box in Calendar View; "Create a Task" and "Create a Cluster" pop up beside it as options to add.
Note:
We have tried creating these clusters using "relationships" and "linked tasks," however, this process is incredibly convoluted and confusing, and it does not save time, space, or money in the long run. The only way we can see to do this in Relationships and Linked Tasks is to link the task and then to remove the date and time from each task/subtask you're wanting to add to the Relationship (effectively removing it from your calendar and Kanban board). The big cost for doing it this way is that if you forget to transition your tasks back onto your calendar (which is incredibly easy to do), it can create mass confusion as to when the tasks are actually due and what is actually due. It can also mean that a task never makes it back onto your calendar and never is completed.
