Ability to add relationship when creating task via automation

It would be really helpful to be able to add a relationship between the task that triggered an automation, and the task that was created as a result of that automation. This would allow my team members to see the connection between our master tickets and the individual tasks that get created with automations as they move through our workflow without manually setting each relationship after the automation triggers.

I'm stunned.
I've been looking for two weeks and feeling practically like an idiot because I can't get an automation to create a new task from another to another list and I can't get the information. I imagined solving this with the relationship function, but it doesn't happen automatically either.
And if I duplicate a task it is linked to the original having a "task in another list".
Very sad about that

Estou procurando por duas semanas e me sentindo praticamente um idiota por não conseguir fazer com que uma automação de criar uma nova tarefa a partir de outra para outra  lista e não consigo levar as informações. Imaginei resolver isso com a função relacionamento, mas também não vai de forma automática.
E se eu duplico uma tarefa ela fica linkada com a original tendo uma "tarefa em duas listas".

I spent the last hour figuring out this isn't a feature. It makes too much sense that a task that was generated from another would have the ability to link those tasks together as a relationship. That way if it isn't a subtask, you would still have a way to connect those tasks

When a task enters a certain state "ie: a deliverable has been received", I'm automatically create a new task for reviewing the deliverable. I'd like to add a link between the two tasks so that the "review" task is linked to the "delivery". It seems this requested feature would perfectly answer my needs. Please consider adding it in the roadmap.

I support! I was trying to do this just a minute ago, but couldn't... Wish we could auto link the triggered task and the newly created task.... Currently having to throw the Triggered Task Link in a text field... :(

Zach - ClickUp it makes me terribly unhappy :-((((( This is literally the most important thing, as we cannot achieve half of the things I'd like to have in ClickUp, when tasks are created because of an automation, and those are linked to a task, which triggered it.

I see tons of features you add with <1,000 votes, and it's a true pain we request this for... how many YEARS?

Zach - ClickUp I agree with Mykyta that this is an incredibly important feature, and do not understand why it was deprioritized. This would drastically improve my team's workflow, and it seems like over 1000 people feel similarly. I check back on this task weekly hoping to see a status update indicating some progress.

Can you provide an explanation as to why this has been reverted to open? Is this that much more complicated to build than the other features or something?
