Everyone wants this. Just add this. I can't even add guests to do this because they require valid email and phone number for security reason at my org. This is so annoying man.

ClickUp, please do this. For so many of the reasons listed below, this would be beneficial. As I'm setting up my workspace and testing automations, I'd like to make sure they are firing to build dashboards and streamline views.

This would be amazing for a user that can be the API Bot!

Adding to this it would be super helpful for those of us with Shops. We want to be able to see capacity of carpenters and welders, and many of them are not computer literate.

I'm trying clickup out right now and not being able to assign tasks to users/roles without using actual people is a non-starter. I have yet to hire most of the people for the roles I'm planning around but I still want to be able to plan resource allocation.

Does anyone know if there is an update on this issue?

do this now!!!! i really need it for my work, its not a case of needing people to be able to see the assigned task but for being able to plan out and schedule work

I love to have this feature, I hope more people vote.

However, I believe this feature is a threat to the ClickUp business owners, as they think they will lose money if people don't sign up for their Business membership.

As a new user it was the first feature I found missing. For example, my accountant will not connect to clickUp I still want to assign tasks to him. Seeing that this feature has been set aside for years pretty discouraging to continue with Clickup. Creating fake emails works but very cumbersome.
