Zach - ClickUp: Will this give the ability to "apply a template" for a checklist template into a task? I have an automation setup to do that, but currently it doesn't do anything once the automation triggers. I have certain action items that come in different stages and need them to be added as tasks progress.

Just adding in my use case, but I think it's straight forward. I have a process involving a lot of checklists. By the end, there are about 8 different checklists added. Some get added when the status changes, some when the task is created, and some when all other checklists are completed. The complexity of creating a task template that uses my checklist templates is a lot of overkill and causes a lot of maintenance issues for me - looking forward to this feature!!

Please simplify template with automation. Allow the applying of a checklist template via automation instead of putting a checklist template in a task template for it to be able to be added via automation.

Here's a question: This has been posted since 2020, has anyone found a way /around/ this? If so, what's your alternate workflow?

Chad Elliott: Create a task with the desired checklist. Save it as template. And you can use automation to apply this task template.

Rahul Deshmukh: Hi! Thanks for the reply! I've created a template before and it overwrote everything - I was not aware you could still create a task template and change the import options. I changed it so it only imports the checklist. Only issue I'm seeing now is remembering/changing import options - looks like you cannot.

Posting the screenshot here if anyone else stumbles on this though. I appreciate you.
