Voice to Text on Mac Stopped working

The talk to text chip moves as if hearing sound. When clicked to end it stays colorful and never pastes text. It was working fine until today. I have tried rebooting the app and my mac mini. no luck

Since the latest update, the voice-to-text recognition has become much worse. It often mishears words, makes random mistakes, and is much less accurate than before. Please fix this in a future update.

I've also done a reinstall and made sure everything is up to date, and restarted the computer a couple of times. Something's going on where it doesn't seem to be releasing the mic after starting it, and the only way to release it is to force close the app

Same issue in Windows 11. I noticed this for sure yesterday. I have had to move to another talk-to-text app.
