Brain Max Flexible Licensing Option?
Jack Nasarzewski
Right now Brain Max is all-or-nothing - either everyone on the team gets it or nobody does.
For example, in our ClickUp user group, only a few people would actually use the AI features regularly.
What if ClickUp offered individual "Power User" licenses instead?
Let team admins assign Brain Max access to just the users who need it, rather than forcing the whole team to upgrade.
Makes more sense financially and gives teams better control over their AI investment.
Anyone else think this would be helpful?

Yeah, I think it's frankly disgusting that we have to pay $100/month for limited users if we have the Max plan, when they can't use half the features. We will never upgrade for that reason.

this! i am not upgrading and sticking with claude because of this. i have a small team of outsourcers and im the only one that needs to use brainmax, but i have to purchase a license for everyone? no thank you.

100% I would LOVE to add Brain Max..but too expensive for the whole Workspace!!

Currently not making people members who would be because it becomes too expensive with Plan + AI Automations Bundle, and no control over that.
It's only me who needs the AI stuff, whereas the would-be members do not.
So ClickUp are missing out on the plan subscription, because of forcing the AI Automations Bundle subscription on each user, too.
I would be happy to do the baseline basic AI subscription for each user if absolutely necessary (e.g., to stop abuse of the AI system, where 1 user could theoretically set up all the AI stuff for a very small fee, but all users take advantage even if they don't have the add-on - that would be unfair on ClickUp), but not the full AI Automations Bundle. That really should be a granular option.
