Using Teams to add members to a Channel!

Instead of just adding individual members, I want to be able to quickly add a group of people to a chat using the Teams I've created and assigned to certain users

Add whole Team/Group to a Chat Channel
Mostafa Shabanpour
Currently, adding people to a ClickUp Chat Channel requires selecting users individually. For Channels that represent a functional team, squad, or project group, this becomes time-consuming and error-prone. It also makes ongoing access management harder because membership can drift over time as teams change.
Large Channels are common for cross-functional projects and operational coordination.
Manual selection increases the likelihood of missing stakeholders or adding the wrong people.
Maintaining membership over time is difficult when new members join a team, since they must be added again manually.
Requested capability:
Add the ability to add a Team/Group (ClickUp Team entity) to a Channel, such that:
Adding a Team adds all current team members to the Channel.
Optionally, provide a toggle:
Sync membership (auto-add/remove members as the team changes)
One-time add (snapshot add only)
Support both:
Regular Channels
Location-based Channels (with clear handling of location permissions)
Suggested UX:
In the Channel Followers/Add people modal, allow selecting:
Individuals
Teams/Groups
Display a confirmation summary: “Add Team X (23 members)”
Expected outcome / benefits:
Faster Channel setup
More reliable access management
Reduced administrative overhead and fewer mistakes

Automatically add teams to a chat

So far, you can only add individuals to a chat - it would be better to be able to activate entire teams automatically. What kind of added value does “chat” have if you can't activate “teams” for it. That's when you forget someone and they don't even hear the messages

can we add a way to replace people from tasks once they leave the clickup, like to transition new people tasks to ex-employee?

Share Channel with a team

We create a channel for each team, but when any new member joins the team, we have to add them to the team and then add them to the team's channel. It would be a time saver if, as soon as you add them to the team, they are automatically added to all channels that are shared with that team.

Add ClickUp Teams as Followers

This would provide parity with Okta/SCIM API <> Slack experiences to ensure certain populations are are auto-enrolled as followers to a channel. This would provide parity with new hire, regional, office, and location based channels at minimum and would greatly enhance team-specific and private channels involving large departments.

Team wise people add in channel

Allow teams to be followers in a chat to save time. Currently, we have to add individuals one by one, and if there are 30 people, it becomes time-consuming and frustrating. If we could add an entire team at once, the process would be much more efficient.

Add Teams to Channel with no List\Folder\Space

We need ability to add members using Teams instead of adding them manually.
E.g - 2 departments PM and Sales have their own spaces. But need to have a chat together. So once chat created I should only peek 2 teams as a members instead of manually picking everyone.
Thanks!

Yes - apply team access/membership everywhere in clickup where individual access/membership is present. We have to keep a separate record of everywhere a person is to be added/removed from a channel when they join or leave a team.

This would also make adding new team members to Chat channels a lot quicker and more efficient rather than having to add each person as a follower when they start
