Save messages for later

The ability to save messages for later with an optional reminder function. The fact that a message is saved for later is only visible to me. With I can set a reminder with a simple click that brings the message back to my attention after the set time elapsed.

Hey, everyone!
We're excited to be working in this area now, but we have a quick question!
Which functionality would you like us to build FIRST:
- Saving a Chat message for later (no date/time), such as "bookmarking" it for later
- Remind yourself about a chat message at a specific date or time.
Thank you in advance for your feedback!

"Save for later" feature

I know there is an Add to Favourite function, but it is for the most important object you will view and use the most. "Add to Favourite" function is good to manage the most frequent use items. In order to have quick access, you can't have too many Favourite items as you need to make them clear and fast to access. But what I mention here is an extra "Save for later" or "Bookmark" function for tasks or docs, which like Facebook's saved post or Slack's saved message function for a check later.
One of the using cases is to save the important meetings which are already closed and archived, as that meeting might be important to someone. He/she might need to make a decision base on that meeting so he/she needs to save for later.
Using Chrome as an example,
Favourite (Clickup) = Bookmark (Chrome)
Save for later (Clickup) = Add to reading list (Chrome)
So I think it is important to have a "Save for later" feature.

At the moment there is no way to favourite a message (which would appear in a separate section in the top left of the chat window).
On any message, in any thread, I'd like to have a star option available in the rollover menu that favourites that message.

On ClickUp 4.0, you can now save messages or comments for later!
Comments saved for later are actually "reminders", and appear on the Later tab in Inbox - they just have no date/time associated with them!
Need to be reminded about something you saved? Snooze it from Inbox to go to the original comment and hit "remind me" to add a date and time!

Brendan W swipe to remind would be most iOS like and most welcomed. As would swipe to reply or forward. Short swipe to reply long to forward. A Short swipe the other direction to remind.

Hey, Brendan W !
What I'd love ClickUp to do compared to Slack when saving messages for later.
- Please replicate in ClickUp in a way: Giving context.
When I save a message in Slack, I often write a private message to myself and save that message then for later to give myself context why I saved that message. So, being somehow able to add context when saving messages in ClickUp would be great. (Like "Great post on the company's strategy")
- Please improve in ClickUp over Slack: Tracking threads for answers "intelligently".
I bookmark most messages when I "own" a topic, when I need answers. So, in my case, many messages could get unbookmarked (and, thus, the list of saved messages automatically cleaned up) whenever the thread receives an answer. So, an option to "bookmark until someone answers" would help my usecase tremendously. In the "Saved for later" list, these "waiting for an answer" messages should be separated from other messages - either visually or - let's say - in a different tab.
Btw, this does not only apply to Chats, it would also apply to comments on tasks as well!
Thanks for considering.

Hendrik Mo Thanks for the feedback Hendrik! We won't have a way to add a note/description from the start, but this is something I do want to add as well :)

Hey, there!
We're exploring the best way to surface Reminders in Chat, while also converging other features that exist in ClickUp today!
Please take this 5-minute survey to share your thoughts. In this survey, you'll review two videos of different designs.
Thank you!

Some chats contain information you'll want to reference again in the future. Adding some type of flag to save/favorite these messages would be useful. And add a way to easily browse your saved/favorited messages.

It would also be great if the notification icon on items saved for later/reminders is not cleared up unless the user marks them as done.
