Pin comments/messages to a Channel

The ability to add bookmarks/pinned items to the top of a channel for quick access. This should be possible for any ClickUp object that can be viewed and modified right within the channel or external links that just allow for quick navigation.

I’d love to share some feedback based on our experience so far:
1: It would be great to have a feature that lets us pin any message in the chat.
2: Please add chat to the Quick Action Menu, so we can pin it and access it from anywhere in ClickUp. It can be a bit uncomfortable when writing something in a task, then needing to switch to chat and back again. If we could access it directly from the top, that would be amazing!
3: When replying in a thread, we can’t send a message as “Also send as direct message.” This is super important. Hopefully, in the near future, we’ll have this feature in ClickUp chats!
4: In any message, we currently can’t react with emojis easily. I noticed it’s available on mobile, but only with the Like button. I didn’t see it in the ClickUp Mac app.
5: Lastly, a message seen feature would be really helpful. It should definitely be there. It’s a small but important thing.

Just to add to this - it would be great if when we flag a message with the 'later' flag, that this gets added to the Bookmark tab in the same list/channel.

Veronica: Saving for Later is for your own personal use, but it does sound like you'd like to pin a message for others (which would be a different flow). Thanks for the feedback!

Pinned posts, web links (bookmarks), and files should all be organized in the channel header by category as they're posted.

Pothik Karim: Hey there! We have the ability to add "Cards" to the top of every Chat Channel already. Are you looking for them to be pinned there automatically when links or files are sent in messages in that channel?

Brendan W yes please. Here's a screenshot from a Slack channel header. As files were shared, they were automatically added to a Files tab - automatically organized and easy to search. Same for Pinned posts, web links (bookmarks), etc.
We were using Announcements as a substitute for Pinned Posts, but when 4.0 came out, all announcements in any channel all got lumped into the Posts section of the sidebar. That makes 0 sense and whomever made that change should frankly be fired.

Pothik Karim: Thanks for the additional context. We have text cards and bookmarks you can utilize today, and we hope to add files (alongside pinning of comments) in the future!

I have a channel per folder, and in the channel, there are many chat/threads and some key discussions can be lost easily. It will be great if I can pin certaion chat/thread at the top for easy access for everyone.
(similar to pinning a chat message to the top of a chat in Microsoft Teams)

I was working on projects via Slack and Discord Before. I find it really odd that i cannot pin the most important stuff to the top of the said chat.

I moved from Slack to CU Chats. One of my favorite features in Slack, was that I could pin messages in individual DMs or Chats. That way, when I went back to the DM with a colleague, I could see what I pinned throughout our whole conversation history!
